Yaku means Water in the pan-amazonian languages.

​

Originally conceived as a mapping-video for CultureScapes on their Amazonas 2021 edition, I later added the voices of Candela and Mercedes in order to give voice to Water ; this living entity who, suffering from nostalgia, desires to return to where it came from. 

​

The text, written a few years before meeting the Kamenstà people, has reminiscences with their own myth of Creation, as they too believe that Water arrived to Earth from outer space.
